Transformation of coal regions will be implemented this year.

In 2022, the start of projects for the transformation of coal regions in Chervonohrad (Lviv region) and Myrnohrad (Donetsk region) is planned. According to Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko, the projects will be implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the governments of Great Britain and Germany. In addition, for the first time since 2018, the state budget for 2022 allocates funds for the development of the coal industry.
