To compensate for its shortage of US-made weapons, Ukraine is ready to purchase military equipment from the US.

President Zelenskyy stated that the nation is willing to buy the next tranche of military assistance from the US. However, it still awaits a reply from the White House on the prospects of the US continuing to supply Ukraine with a vital military supply lifeline. Ukraine has requested between $30B and $50B in aid from Washington, and it’s willing to pay for it – either directly to the US or as a contribution to the joint mineral deal fund, which has yet to be established, Zelenskyy told reporters on Wednesday in the capital, Kyiv.
“We did not ask for the next package free of charge,” Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine is still receiving military assistance that Joe Biden approved before leaving office. He did not specify when Kyiv would receive all of the aid the previous US administration secured.
At the same time, current US President Donald Trump is urging Ukraine to strike a deal to share future profits from its minerals, viewing it as compensation for the tens of billions of dollars in assistance provided to the country.
