The world searches for ways to end the Russian war in Ukraine; here is what the US, India, Germany, and Hungary are saying:
US presidential candidate Donald Trump said that if he wins the election, he will end the war in Ukraine by the new year. He plans to cut energy prices by half or more within 12 months of taking office.
“Putin will not be able to fight with oil at $40,” Trump said.
National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India, Ajit Doval, will be in Russia on September 10-11 to participate in a meeting of representatives from the BRICS countries. He will meet with Russian president Putin to discuss peaceful efforts to end the war. China supports India’s efforts.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz insists that Russia participate in the next peace conference regarding Ukraine. He is unanimous in this with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Scholz is convinced that the time has come to speed up the peace process regarding Ukraine.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in turn, said that his “peaceful mission” is not over yet. In September, he plans to prepare new “convincing” initiatives to end the war in Ukraine.
