The World Bank will finance Ukraine’s private sector with $1B through 2027.

Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev noted that over the past 1.5 years, the scope of joint work between the Ministry and the World Bank has grown significantly in many areas. Among other things, the government is working to coordinate partners in economic reforms.

Also, the government is working on the Resistant, Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship project (RISE), under which the World Bank will provide Ukraine’s private sector with $1.03B and allocate a $30M grant beginning this year and extending through 2027 years. The RISE project refinances expenses incurred within the framework of state support programs, including the 5-7-9% and eRobota programs.

“We hope that this support will stimulate the development of entrepreneurship in the field of construction – the development of housing infrastructure”. Deputy Minister Volodymyr Kuzyo added Ukraine is also interested in increasing programs to provide financing for the housing sector as well as attracting investment and foreign capital.
