The World Bank has allocated $350 mln for social programs in Ukraine over two years.

The contribution to Ukraine’s state budget will support social programs, said the Minister of Social Policy, Marina Lazebna, during a meeting with representatives of the World Bank. The parties discussed the results of cooperation over two years and the main direction for the next five years. Three main areas of strategic partnership for the next five years include introducing a basic guaranteed income for the disabled, unifying minimum pension guarantees and rules for indexation of all pensions at the legislative level, and introducing and developing the mandatory funded pension system.
