The White House claims that Trump may end war in Ukraine this week.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that US President Donald Trump is confident in the possibility of concluding an agreement to end the war in Ukraine, and this could happen as early as this week. This statement came after Trump said that President Zelenskyy has no leverage and should not participate in peace talks with international leaders.
“I don’t think he (Zelenskyy) is that needed for meetings, to be honest,” the US president said.
In addition, the American leader said that Russian dictator Putin and President Zelenskyy should meet and work together to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump also announced a second round of peace talks with Russian diplomats. They will be held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh on February 25. Russia, in turn, announced that a new meeting with US representatives will be held in late February-early March.
A direct meeting between Trump and Putin, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will depend on progress achieved toward ending the war.
