The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill legalizing the work of freelancers.

Wednesday, September 22, 2021

The use of a fixed-term employment contract increases employee mobility, gives greater freedom of choice in exercising the right to work, as well as creates a convenient legislative mechanism for legalizing freelancers who prefer short-term projects and are not limited to one customer (ukrinform). The number of fixed-term employment contracts with one employer may not exceed 10% of the total number of employment contracts to which this employer is a party. The employee will be able to combine legal work with several employers and at the same time will have basic social guarantees (provision of sick leave, vacations, sufficient wages, and so on).
