The US proposes adjusting military aid to Ukraine so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can gain a better foothold in the Kursk region.
The White House is considering revising the content of its military aid packages to Kyiv so that they best meet the needs of the military in the Kursk Region, the WP reports.
Some officials anonymously told the newspaper that the Pentagon has already requested information from Kyiv about the necessary resources for a successful operation, but the decision to adjust military aid has not yet been made. Another WP interlocutor noted that Washington does not have a clear idea of Ukraine’s goals in the Kursk region operation.
However, additional deliveries of armored vehicles and other types of weapons, which could help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to “dig in and defend” in the Kursk region, are currently being discussed. Previously, the US put a priority on the supply of ammunition for air defense and military equipment in the Donbas. Currently, Ukraine controls almost 1,300 square kilometers of Russian territory.
