The US is waiting for Russia to provide a list of conditions for a peace agreement; a meeting of the three leaders is planned.

The US has already received a list of conditions for achieving an end to the war from Ukraine and now expects a corresponding memorandum from Russia to compare them, said the US President’s special envoy in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg. He emphasized that it is necessary to continue applying pressure on the Russians to force them to engage in negotiations with Ukraine. If they submit the memorandum, another round of peace talks will take place, possibly in Geneva, Switzerland.

“We wanted to hold it in the Vatican, but the Russians did not want to go there. So, Geneva could be the next stop, where all three main leaders – President Trump, President Zelenskyy, and President Putin – will meet and work out all this,” said Kellogg.

The Russians stated that they are still developing a memorandum outlining the principles of a possible future peace agreement.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, in turn, stressed that the US Senate is awaiting Moscow’s proposals for a ceasefire in Ukraine before deciding whether to impose sanctions on Russia. Graham added that the Senate is ready “for any development.”
