The US is discussing the deployment of British, French, German, and Polish forces west of the Dnipro River in Ukraine.

Trump’s special envoy, Keith Kellogg, stated that the US is in talks with European countries about sending troops to Ukraine, west of the Dnipro River, as a condition for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

“A force west of the Dnipro River, which means it is outside the contact zone,” the official clarified.

He emphasized that the US aims to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire in Ukraine, and only then move on to territorial issues.

Meanwhile, according to Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, the dispatch of a European peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine is being considered within the framework of the Weimar+ format (Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy). Russia’s position on this issue is irrelevant; the Ukrainians themselves must decide which countries’ troops have the right to be in Ukraine. Sikorski added that the possibility of sending a contingent that would perform an “insurance function” is currently being explored.
