The US is considering whether to completely halt military aid to Ukraine.

The Trump administration is contemplating the possibility of ending even indirect military assistance to Ukraine. This includes discontinuing military funding, intelligence sharing, training for Ukrainian military personnel and pilots, and closing a center at a US base in Germany that coordinates international aid. Regarding direct defense support, the decision will impact billions of dollars in military aid, including radars, vehicles, ammunition, and missiles currently awaiting shipment to Ukraine through a presidential authority mechanism.
White House press secretary Karoline Levitt stated that the new US administration “is no longer going to simply write blank checks for war.”
According to the WSJ, Trump has reportedly already ordered a review to determine whether Washington can fully or temporarily halt arms supplies to Kyiv. For now, however, the American leader is taking a wait-and-see approach – he plans to monitor President Zelenskyy’s actions. If the US does cut its aid, the Defense Contact Group, comprising approximately 50 countries, will remain a crucial source of military support for Ukraine.
