The US has cancelled the deployment of two US Navy ships to the Black Sea,

Turkish diplomatic sources told Al Jazeera. After Turkey made the deployment public last Friday, Sergei Ryabkov, a Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, said the US ships should stay well away from Russia-controlled Crimea “for their own good.” US officials in Ankara said that the US occasionally files notices of sending warships through the Bosporus without following through. The two ships are offshore Crete.
