The US Congress is preparing a plan to block Russian oil and may approve $10B in aid to Ukraine.

 U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that the House is studying legislation to ban Russian oil imports, and Congress intends to approve $10B in aid to Ukraine this week. “The House of Representatives is currently studying tough legislation that would further isolate Russia from the global economy,” Pelosi said. “Our bill would ban imports of Russian oil and energy products into the United States, cancel normal trade relations with Russia and Belarus, and take the first step to deny Russia access to the World Trade Organization,” she explained.
