The US and the EU have signed a weapons purchase agreement that will supply Ukraine’s military.

US President Donald Trump said that the US and the EU have reached an agreement in which Brussels will cover the full cost of all weapons and equipment that will be acquired. After receiving American weapons, EU countries will distribute them independently, with most going to support the Ukrainian armed forces.

Simultaneously, the US State Department approved the sale of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and related equipment to Ukraine, with an estimated total cost of $150M. The US also authorized the sale of the HAWK Phase III missile system and related equipment to the Ukrainian government, with an approximate price tag of $172M.

Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal mentioned that Sweden is preparing a new substantial aid package for Ukraine. The countries are also discussing potential joint weapons production initiatives. Furthermore, Kyiv and Paris have agreed to begin drone manufacturing in Ukraine. Ukraine anticipates that France will provide a new grant of up to €200M to support its defense industry.
