The US allocates almost $8B, and Germany will spend an additional €400M in aid to Ukraine this year.
The White House announced a Ukrainian military aid package worth $7.9B, including additional Patriot batteries, air defense equipment, UAVs, long-range missiles, air-to-ground munitions, and money to strengthen the country’s defense and industrial base. In addition, the US decided to expand the training program for Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilots.
Earlier, the Pentagon announced a $375M package of military aid to Ukraine, which includes air-to-ground ammunition, HIMARS ammunition, artillery shells, anti-tank systems, armored cars, and small arms.
As well, Britain will send six more AS90 self-propelled artillery guns to the Ukrainian army in addition to the 10 that have already been delivered.
Simultaneously, the German parliament decided to allocate an additional €400M to purchase air defense equipment, tanks, UAVs, ammunition, and spare parts for Ukraine this year, which will effectively strengthen Ukraine’s military.
Lithuania also sent logistical equipment, ammunition, and other assistance to the Armed Forces as part of a new package.
