The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution calling on Russia to withdraw troops from Ukraine immediately.

The UN General Assembly has adopted a solution, Aggression against Ukraine, which condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and demands that Russia immediately withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory. The decision was made with 141 countries voting in favor, 5 against, and 35 abstentions. Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea, and Syria voted against it. The UN General Assembly condemns the decision of the Russian Federation of 24 February 2022 on a “special military operation” in Ukraine, expresses serious concern over reports of attacks on civilian targets such as housing, schools, and hospitals, as well as civilian casualties, including women, the elderly, the disabled, and children.
