The Ukrainian labor market is recovering, and competition for workers is growing.
Companies posted 90,023 vacancies in May, which is 9% higher than in April, according to Work.ua analysis. The vacancy increase is observed mainly in the front-line regions and the west of Ukraine. The Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions continue to lead in the number of posted vacancies.
At the same time, the level of competition among job applicants continues to decrease because more Ukrainians have found jobs. As a result, employers are ready to pay more to new employees: the average salary has increased to ₴16,500. The average salary offer has risen by 10% since the beginning of the year.
In May, 4% more new candidates who created or updated their resumes entered the labor market than in April. At the same time, due to a growing labor shortage employers started offering jobs to retirees, students, and people without experience.
