The Ukrainian agricultural sector’s losses from the war amount to $40.2B,

according to the Center for Food and Land Use Research at the Kyiv School of Economics’ calculations. In particular, the Ukrainian agricultural sector has suffered $8.7B in direct losses. Since November 2022, the amount has increased by $2.1B. The largest amount of damage, $6B, is due to destroyed and damaged agricultural machinery and storage facilities for manufactured products.
Indirect losses amount to $31.5B, $2.76B more than in November. Most of the losses in this category are associated with a decrease in crop production, which accounts for almost half of all $14.3B in indirect losses. According to these figures, Ukraine needs at least $29.7B to restore the industry.
