The Ukraine-Northern Europe summit results: Norway will provide an additional $800M, and Denmark €1B.

Norway will increase its financial assistance to Ukraine by $800M for the payment of salaries, the country’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr said at a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The country will also provide additional NASAMS air defense systems worth NOK335M (€28M). Norway is also increasing defense industry co-financing with European partners to produce more ammunition for Ukraine’s military.

Meanwhile, the Danish government will provide a new package of military support to Ukraine worth €1B. As noted by the country’s prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, on December 14, she will present the initiative for consideration by the parliament. The package will include ammunition, tanks, and drones.

Frederiksen reported that Denmark will allocate more than €8B to Ukraine for the following years and, together with its allies, will also provide F-16s. The parliament will consider providing new aid, including drones and other equipment necessary for the fight.

In the meantime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy participated in the second Ukraine-Northern Europe summit, held in Norway.
