The Ukraine Facility has been fully launched: Ukraine will receive €5.3B in grants.
The Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, signed the Financial Agreement between Ukraine and the EU that regulates the receipt of €5.27B in grant aid under the Ukraine Facility over the next four years.
“The signing of the agreement on attracting grant support will contribute to the stabilization of the macroeconomic and financial situation in the country and provide the necessary resources to support key sectors of the economy. We are grateful to the EU for helping restore Ukraine and creating new investment opportunities in the long term,” Svyrydenko commented.
As previously reported, the total budget support within the first component of the program, including loans and grants, amounts to €38.27B. The program will distribute quarterly tranches, assuming Ukraine complies with the established indicators. Ukraine expects to receive €16B in support this year, including €3B in grants.
