The Trump administration will present its plan to end the war in Munich.

US allies expect the Trump administration to unveil a long-awaited strategy to conclude Russia’s war on Ukraine at the Munich Security Conference in Germany next week, reported Bloomberg. The proposal will be presented to the allies by Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, the sources stated on condition of anonymity.

They declined to specify how detailed they anticipated the discussions would be or what format they might follow. The plan is set to be delivered at the Feb. 14-16 conference in the Bavarian city, just a week before Russia’s war reaches its three-year milestone.

In recent weeks, Kellogg and others have hinted at what Trump’s circle has called “peace through strength.” Possible elements of the plan include freezing the conflict, leaving the territory currently occupied by Russian forces in question while providing Ukraine with security guarantees to prevent future attacks from Moscow.

Later this month, Kellogg is expected to make his first trip to Kyiv to meet with President Zelenskyy.
