“Ukraine’s public finance system is running smoothly, thanks in large part to more than $15B in funding for defense capabilities and support for Ukraine’s economy and humanitarian issues from international organizations and partner countries”, said the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyrylo Shevchenko. “According to our estimates, the total international financial, technical and humanitarian support has reached the equivalent of more than $15B, of which more than $5B came directly to the budget,” Shevchenko added. Shevchenko stressed that payments to the Government of Ukraine are made without restrictions under martial law. Therefore, the liquidity reserve is sufficient to finance expenditures and repayments.
