The state, Ukrainians, businesses, and international partners are contributing hundreds of millions to restore the Okhmadyt hospital that was destroyed by the Russians.

Another ₴300M ($7.5M) will be allocated from the state budget in addition to the ₴100M that was already announced for the restoration of the Okhmadyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, which was shelled by Russia on July 8. At the same time, people and businesses across the globe have already collected ₴300M for the hospital’s restoration through the United24 initiative and Monobank. More than 320,000 people from 55 countries and around 50 companies have joined the initiative.

In addition, EU diplomats announced financial help for the hospital’s reconstruction and called for Russia to be brought to justice.

Also, the Lithuanian government announced the allocation of €1M, and the Italian ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, stated his country’s readiness to assist in the immediate aftermath of the attack and restore the hospital.

Taiwan has also provided $200,000 to purchase medical supplies for the affected hospital.
