The price for one ton of Ukrainian agricultural exports has increased by 40% compared to 2024.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the price of a ton of Ukrainian agricultural exports increased from $315 in 2024 to $443 in April 2025. This growth is attributed to a rise in exports of value-added products, particularly bioethanol.

Additionally, prices for primary exported goods have also risen over the year:

1. sunflower oil – $1,174 per ton (+37.8%)
2. corn – $217 (+27.1%)
3. wheat – $231 (+27.4%)
4. poultry meat – $2,385 (+11.2%)
5. soybeans – $409 (+4.3%)

Since the beginning of 2025, Ukraine has exported a total of 2.5 million tons of agricultural products valued at $1.1B. The NBU anticipates a significant increase in this year’s harvest, including grain crops by 12%, oilseeds by 10%, and vegetables and potatoes by 17%.

However, experts warn that this spring has been exceptionally dry for most European regions, including Ukraine. The lack of precipitation, combined with the high temperatures observed since March, may have implications for agriculture and, consequently, for global food security.
