The Parliament of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, has unblocked the signing of the law on the loan guarantee fund for farmers.

The Verkhovna Rada rejected resolutions repealing the decision to pass a Partial Guarantee Fund for Agriculture law. According to the bill, farmers who cultivate up to 500 hectares will have guarantees from the state to obtain loans from financial institutions. The Fund will provide warranties of up to 50% of the outstanding principal amount and guarantees for the term of the loan agreement, but not more than ten years.
