The number of Ukrainians in Poland planning to stay abroad has tripled in six months.

Currently, 38% of Ukrainians who left the country because of the war want to settle in Poland.  In October 2022 this number was only 17%. Another 7% of Ukrainians plan to move from Poland to another country, according to data from a March Gremi Personal survey. At the same time, in March of this year 55% of Ukrainians in Poland confirmed that they would return to Ukraine. Most of them – 82% – plan to return only after victory.

Analysts of Gremi Personal say that among those interviewed, some have nowhere to return. Many have adapted to Poland, got a job, and send their children to Polish schools. Some women have built relationships with Poles and do not want to be separated from them. Another essential factor influencing Ukrainians’ plans to stay is the opening of Ukrainian businesses in Poland.
