The ninth Ramstein promises to provide support for the Ukrainian counteroffensive this spring.
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin said at the beginning of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine meeting, being held in the Ramstein format, that the allied countries will help Ukraine launch a counteroffensive this spring to liberate the territories occupied by Russia. He added that the Contact Group member countries will jointly and urgently deliver the promised necessary support to Ukraine. Austin announced that the members of the group have decided to allocate Bradley and Abrams from the US, Challenger tanks from Great Britain, modernized tanks from the US, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, and T-72 tanks from Poland. In addition, the aid includes Leopard tank deliveries from Canada, Germany, Spain, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal.
