The Netherlands believes that it is time for Ukrainians to return home to increase resources for the state’s reconstruction.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Jennes de Mol, said it is time for those 100,000 refugees currently in the Netherlands to think about returning to Ukraine. He explained his statement by highlighting the need to increase resources for Ukraine’s reconstruction. The ambassador added that the beginning of the dialogue on the return of Ukrainians to Ukraine is supported throughout Europe.

At the same time, the director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research, Ella Libanova, noted during the Human Capital UA forum that Ukraine will not be able to receive more than half of the refugees who left the country after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. In her opinion, Ukrainian refugees abroad are already part of the diaspora.
