The largest logistics deal concluded during the war to date: A global container giant entered Ukrainian market.

Swiss company Medlog SA, the logistics division of one of the world’s largest container operators – Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), officially entered the Ukrainian market. In May, the company acquired a 50% stake in the Ukrainian intermodal logistics operator N’UNIT and 25% in the Mostyska cross-border terminal.

This deal marks the first instance of a major international player participating in Ukrainian logistics since the start of the full-scale war. The transaction amount could range from $15 to $30M.

MSC is one of the global leaders in container transportation, with about 900 seagoing vessels in its fleet and an annual transportation volume of 27 million TEU to over 520 ports around the world. Medlog is part of the MSC Group and specializes in intermodal transportation, operating in 90 countries.

N’UNIT is a Ukrainian logistics operator with four terminals located in Vyshneve near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and the Lviv region.

The Mostyska Terminal (Mostyska Dry Port) represents a substantial logistics infrastructure project implemented by Lemtrans in collaboration with partners near the border with Poland.
