The largest defense company in the Czech Republic will begin producing shells in Ukraine.

Excalibur Army, part of the Czechoslovak Group holding, has opened a representative office in Ukraine and is preparing to begin ammunition production in the country. This move will help boost production capacity and strengthen defense cooperation with Ukraine. The office will manage order processing, documentation, technical consultations, and facilitate collaboration with Ukrainian partners.

Along with the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, Excalibur Army has developed a project for ammunition production in Ukraine. The plant will begin operations this year. Initially, about 50% of the production will be localized (with plans to increase to 80%). The plant will be capable of producing 100,000 155 mm shells and 50,000 105 mm shells annually.

Ukraine is the second-largest market for CSG, a leading Central European manufacturer and supplier of weapons.

Excalibur Army has supplied Ukraine with weapons since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, providing over 1,000 pieces of equipment – including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery systems, and rocket launchers – and more than two million rounds of large-caliber ammunition.
