The Ivano-Frankivsk Rebar Plant is being sold for ₴70M: where else can businesses invest in Ukraine?
On December 15, an auction for the sale of the property of the Ivano-Frankivsk Rebar Plant is planned with a starting price of ₴70M ($1.9M). The factory was once one of the largest Ukrainian manufacturers of pipeline fittings for the energy industry, oil and gas complex, chemical industry, metallurgy, and water supply.
In 2017, the plant’s territory was sold for ₴28M to satisfy debts, and the entire plant moved to one workshop. In July 2021, the enterprise’s electricity was turned off due to nonpayment. Since December 2020, employees have not been paid salaries. As of January 2022, almost all the plant’s employees have resigned. Since April 18, the enterprise has been in a state of suspension.
Also, in the business center of Kyiv, the former head office of Bank Sich, with a total area of more than 2,500 square meters, is being sold for the third time. It is located on the first through fourth floors of a modern, 22-story premium-class building. The price has been reduced by 30% from ₴154M to ₴107.7M.
