The housing rental market has slowed amid news from the front.

According to the DIM.RIA marketplace, due to the uncertain situation at the front, the rental market and the purchase and sale of apartments are currently in limbo. Rental market offers have fallen significantly, and not only in the eastern and southern regions, the Sumy region (-77%), Poltava region (-71%), and Odesa region (-25%), but also in the west of the country – the Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi and even Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

However, there are several areas where the number of new offers has increased. The number of advertisements increased by 50% in the Volyn region and 41% in the Lviv region. Market experts also note a significant decrease in apartments rented in the capital in the last few weeks. There, demand is still focused on furnished apartments in good condition, and tenants prefer low floors.

In April 2024, the average monthly price for renting a one-room apartment in the capital is ₴17,348 ($438), and in the region – ₴9,976 ($252).
