President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to dismiss the head of the NBU, Kyryl Shevchenko. Andriy Yermak, who is the head of the President’s Office is looking for candidates to replace him. The upcoming change at the NBU was reported by Bloomberg, citing 3 sources familiar with Zelensky’s plans. The President is dissatisfied with Shevchenko’s work with regards to the fact that the head of the NBU has bad relations with several senior employees of the regulator, which led to a wave of resignations that “outraged Western donors, including the IMF.”
