Thursday, October 14, 2021

The withdrawal rate will soon surpass the inflow rate, reported Gas Infrastructure Europe. Since the beginning of the week, the rate of gas pumping in Europe’s underground gas storage facilities (UGSF) has fallen to a minimal index since May. On October 11, the pumping rate exceeded the withdrawal rate by 20 percent, while the overall level of EU gas stocks increased only by 0.02. The average rates of pumping of gas to the UGSF are 25 percent higher than annual long-term indexes” (Interfax-Ukraine).
