The first line of a new water main in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been put into operation.
As reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure, on August 21 the first line on the Ingulets – Kryazheve section of the main water pipeline, where construction began on the third day after the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP, went into operation. The first line will provide water to about 25% of the population of Kryvyi Rih. The Ingulets – Kryazheve link generally consists of four lines. The launch of the remaining three should take place at the beginning of autumn.
The ministry notes that about one million Ukrainians have water supply interruptions due to the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP. The main water pipeline project consists of three sections with a length of almost 150 km. Ahead is the launch of two more sections, Manganets – Nikopol – Pokrov and Zaporizhia – Tomakivka – Manganets.
In addition, the government will allocate UAH 153.3M to the restoration and modernization of the Mykolaiv water supply and sewer system. The EIB provided a €5M grant for the project.
