The European Union will provide another €1.2B in financial assistance to Ukraine, announced European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen. This package will help Ukraine meet its financing needs through the conflict, the EC chief said in a special statement in Brussels broadcast by EU television. The Council of the EU and the European Parliament hopes to adopt this extraordinary package of macro-financial assistance as soon as possible. Then it will begin the rapid disbursement of the first tranche of €600M, added Von der Leyen.
