This announcement was made in Brussels during a press briefing by European Commission spokeswoman Verli Nuitz, following the announcement by President Ursula von der Leyen last week. This program will strengthen Ukraine’s macroeconomic stability and overall resilience in the current context. Furthermore, she noted that the swift adoption of these proposals by the Council of the EU and the European Parliament would allow the European Commission to immediately pay Ukraine the first tranche of the aid of €600M, reported Ukrinform.
