In the face of the Russian threat and security challenges facing Europe because of Russia’s military build-up along Ukraine’s borders, the European Union will further deepen economic and political relations with Ukraine, stated President of the European Council, Charles Michel. He also added, “We plan to hold a donors’ conference for Ukraine because the current events have had a devastating effect on its economy. It is now difficult for investors to invest in the country, leading to economic instability. But you can be sure that we will support Ukraine together with the member states and continue to strengthen our ties.”
