The EU, the UK, and NATO all support expanding the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, voiced a corresponding position at the Munich Security Conference. “Now is the time to speed up the production of standardized weapons and ammunition for delivery to Ukraine, including 155 mm projectiles. We should use the European Peace Fund for this,” she said. In addition, the European Commissioner emphasizes that the EU should replenish its reserves. Also, the EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, spoke about a similar position regarding Ukraine. “Zelenskyy and the Ukrainians receive a lot of applause but not enough weapons. They need less applause and larger supplies of weapons,” he emphasized and called for increasing the delivery rate ofmilitary aid. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called for Ukraine’s partners to provide the country with everything necessary for victory. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also called for doubling and speeding up military aid to Ukraine.
