The EU reports record agricultural export volumes, with Ukraine a leading exporter to the bloc.


EU agri-food exports reached a historic €235.4B last year, marking a 3% increase compared to 2023. Grain, dairy products, and wine top the list of goods exported from the EU. In terms of its share of European agricultural exports, Ukraine ranks 13th, with a value of €3.634B (+5%).
Meanwhile, imports of agri-food products to the EU hit €171.8B (+8%). The largest suppliers remained Brazil, Britain, and Ukraine.
Specifically, Ukraine boosted its agricultural exports to the EU by 11% last year, totaling €13B (8% of the total value of EU imports). Exports of vegetable oils rose to €3B (+€946M), and oil and protein crops reached €3.1B (+€709M). However, Ukrainian grain imports saw a 12% decrease in value, falling to €4.5B due to lower prices, although their volume increased by 6%.
Notably, in March 2025, the share of agricultural products in Ukrainian exports was 58% ($2.1B).
