The EU allocates millions of euros for new housing for internally displaced people in Volyn.

Construction of a new house for displaced persons has begun in Kovel with €4.8M in grant funds from the EU. The project plans to construct a five-story residential building with 70 apartments, with a total area of ​​3,880 square meters.

In addition, with €1.86M from the EU, the city has already successfully completed the reconstruction of an administrative building, which was turned into a residential complex with 24 apartments for 76 internally displaced persons.

Another project for the construction of new housing for internally displaced persons is being implemented in Novovolynsk. Two houses and an athletic facility are planned to be built by May 2025, with the building having a total area of 5,500 square meters. The EU grant is €7.1M, with co-financing from the local budget of ₴7.2M for shelter construction.

At the same time, several other projects are being implemented in the region to provide housing for displaced persons, such as modular towns and hostels.
