The EBRD will launch several key Ukrainian support projects at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.

The EBRD announced a large-scale package of projects to be launched at the Recovery Conference in Rome on July 10-11. The bank will reveal the creation of the Ukraine FIRST fund, which will manage a unified portfolio of recovery projects for Ukraine.

Additionally, the EBRD will introduce new energy projects focused on distributed generation and renewable energy sources, sharing risks with partner banks. This will enable it to provide up to €900M in new sub-loans to companies in critical sectors such as agriculture, industry, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and energy.

The EBRD also supports the development of equity funds and capital markets to help mobilize the foreign investment needed for reconstruction. Alongside the Ministry of Economy, the EBRD will present the Human Capital Sustainability Charter. Furthermore, the bank will support the development of the Balakhivka graphite deposit in Ukraine, which the European Commission has identified as strategic.

The EBRD will also sign loan, grant, or guarantee agreements with several Ukrainian cities, continuing its strong support for municipal investment that improves people’s lives.
