The EBRD has provided a €42M loan to Cersanit to support its business in Ukraine and Poland.
The leading Polish ceramic tile and bathroom equipment manufacturer, Cersanit, is said to have significant capacity in Ukraine and is expected to play an essential role in rebuilding the infrastructure.
The EBRD noted that the long-term financing will help the company complete numerous investments in Ukraine and Poland and manage its working capital needs. The EBRD financing will allow the Cersanit group to increase the production of tiles and sanitary ware in Ukraine, complete a large-scale ceramic tile production project at the same plant in Ukraine, reconstruct an acrylic product production plant in Poland, and complete energy efficiency improvements and other modernization investments in Poland.
Ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, and bathroom equipment are important construction materials that will be used to restore damaged residential and industrial facilities, added the EBRD.
