The Czech Republic has prepared an EU integration plan for Ukraine and Moldova.

The Czech plan covers specific measures in energy, agriculture, telecommunications, and several other sectors. The initiative has already received support from eight EU countries, including Germany, Sweden, and Estonia, with expectations that other states will join. The initiative will be officially presented on January 28 at a meeting of the EU Council. It is noted that deepening Ukraine and Moldova’s economic integration, primarily through the expansion of free trade agreements, will contribute to their resilience to the Russian Federation’s influence. The plan also provides the countries with tangible rewards and incentives to continue reforms, which will positively affect the EU.

Among the proposed measures:

  1. integration of Ukraine and Moldova into the European telecommunications space
  2. development of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity
  3. strengthening ties in the energy sector
  4. expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs through programs such as Erasmus for young businesspeople
  5. a long-term solution for the liberalization of trade in agricultural products
  6. assistance in achieving environmental goals
