The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a new offensive in the Kursk region.

The new military operation commenced in the village of Tyotkino, located on the border with the Sumy region. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed a successful strike on a Russian UAV command post in the Tyotkino area of the Kursk region, where crews who deploy unmanned reconnaissance and strike drones were based. As a result of the strike, up to 20 enemy combatants were eliminated and their equipment was destroyed. The Russian Federation announced a sudden evacuation of residents from the Kursk region in response to the Ukrainian offensive.
However, the Ukrainian side has not yet officially confirmed the advance of its forces in this direction. Nevertheless, the data on the new offensive is supported by the Ukrainian OSINT project Deep State: On its map, certain areas of the Kursk region along the border with Ukraine in the Tyotkino area are marked as gray zones, indicating an area of unknown military control.
Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyy noted that the Kursk operation has achieved most of its set goals. The Ukrainian military’s active presence in the region has made it possible to prevent Russian offensive campaigns in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
