The agricultural sector’s losses from the war now reach $11B, and the export of goods has almost reached pre-war volumes.

The head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Taras Vysotskyi, stated: “Due to Russian aggression, Ukrainian farmers suffered significant losses. Unfortunately, this figure continues to grow. Currently, we can ascertain losses for more than $11B.” According to him, a significant share of losses is due to the destruction or theft of agricultural machinery and equipment. The minister said that Ukrainian farmers export agricultural products both by road and rail transport. Moreover, the Ukrainian sea corridor has been operating in a stable mode for a year, and the ports of the Danube region are also working smoothly. Therefore, there are currently no obstacles to exportation. Vysotsky added that the entire infrastructure’s existing capacity allows for the exportation of the same volumes of goods as before the start of the full-scale invasion, which is more than seven million tons of agricultural products every month.
