In late 2024, Tech4Good Global Challenge #1: Energy for Ukraine, a private initiative led by independent experts in tech, energy, and public sectors, launched a global search for innovative energy solutions to tackle Ukraine’s energy crisis. Supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Spain, the initiative attracted 75 startups and innovators worldwide.
Six groundbreaking projects from Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan/Luxembourg, and Spain were chosen for immediate deployment in Ukraine, offering solutions in biomass energy, wind power, hydrokinetic turbines, portable solar power, disaster-ready energy systems, and waste-to-energy technologies.
With support from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Innovation Holding Sikorsky Challenge, Tech4Good’s team is actively leading installation efforts in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and other regions of Ukraine and seeking donors and partners to accelerate deployment and expand impact.
“Tested in Ukraine Today, A Winning World Solution Tomorrow” stands as the initiative’s motto, highlighting its potential to support other regions affected by war conflicts and natural disasters.
