Switzerland allocates over $6B for Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Switzerland plans to allocate CHF 5B (approximately $6.2B) to rebuild Ukraine. “We have many promising projects in the humanitarian sphere, which we can jointly implement with these funds,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Swiss energy equipment manufacturer PFIFFNER-Group is providing Ukraine with CHF 100,000 to purchase equipment that is necessary to restore the power grid. The company is also exploring further cooperation, including the possibility of opening a plant in Ukraine.

Additionally, the Swedish government is dedicating SEK 20M ($2.1M) to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) nuclear safety missions in Ukraine in 2025. The country’s contribution will mainly support IAEA experts at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and in Chornobyl.

“This support helps reduce the risk of armed attacks, provides professional advice on nuclear safety and protection against nuclear consequences, and ensures the dissemination of impartial and independent information to the international community,” the Swedish government stated.
