Sweden will allocate €522.6M for restoration projects in Ukraine.
The Swedish government presented a cooperation strategy for reconstruction and reforms in Ukraine for 2023-2027, and plans to allocate 6B Swedish kroner (€522.6M) for reconstruction projects, reported Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy. The corresponding bilateral aid program is the largest in terms of funding in Sweden’s history, and it Ukraine has become its recipient, said Sweden’s Minister for International Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Johan Forssell.
Swedish ministry noted that “It is working on solving the insurance issue for Swedish companies and guaranteeing trade operations because the Ukrainian market is promising for developing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.” Attention is also being paid to Ukraine’s demining, the replenishment of specialized equipment, the training of sappers, and the inspection of mine-compromised lands.
