Sweden will allocate a €63M military aid package to Ukraine, including defense industry investment.

As part of previous military aid packages to Ukraine, the Swedish government will provide our country with €63M in financial support, or approximately SEK 720M. €20M will go to supporting Ukraine’s defense industry, within the Danish model’s framework, which is aimed at supporting procurement through Ukrainian industry. Sweden will also allocate about €43M to several existing multilateral initiatives to provide quick and effective support to the Armed Forces.

Examples of these initiatives include coalitions created within the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format):

  1. Air Force Capability Enhancement Coalition, procurement of air-to-air missiles for the Ukrainian F-16 program
  2. Maritime coalition
  3. Ukraine demining coalition
  4. The IT coalition, of which Sweden recently became a member, procurement of communication equipment

In addition, Sweden will contribute to the NATO Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) for Ukraine, which purchases military equipment.
